This is a petition submitted to the king by the priest of Paśupatinātha praying the former to let the petitioner operate the rituals of the deity. The original ancestor Lambakarṇa Bhaṭṭa began this ritual and King Pṛthvi Nārāyaṇa Sāha confirmed it. Since then the rituals have been done from generation to generation. |
