| Abstract: |
This lālamohara of King Surendra exempts the land attached to the endowment of the Navalpur monastery in favour of its Priest Chetka Dorje Lāmā with 2½ ropanīs of land for operating its rituals. The original lālamohara was made in 1895 but the tax-collectors subjected the trust to taxes. This new document restores the priest to operate the rituals as usual and exempts the person from corvee, involved in its rituals. The priest is to operate his functions within the diocese as usual. |
