| Abstract: |
In this letter, dated NS 865 (1744 CE), to Gosāīṃ Kubera Bhāratī, Nehā Girī seeks to settle discrepancies regarding their Tibetan trade accounts. He documents total remittances of 14,637 moharas, 2 ānās, and 2 paisās, while noting a recent consignment dispatched via Nārāyaṇa, son of Nakuru of Jhorache, comprising a parcel of cash, over 14 tolās of gold, 32 tolās of silver, and various sundry goods. Insisting that he has remitted every coin earned from sales, Girī explains that while he still holds unsold inventory—which he offers to return to Nepal upon request—he simply has no further liquid funds to send. |
