| Abstract: |
This undated, incomplete letter sent by Nehā Girī from Tibet to Gosāīṃ Rāya Bhāratī in Patan records a dispute over proceeds collection, transit costs, and disputed commodity ledgers. Girī justifies assembling horses rather than remitting bullion by citing Kubera Bhāratī’s explicit invocation of their guru's order, while firmly demanding that the transit costs of 650 moharas for 19 horses be shared proportionately. He disputes alleged trading losses on brocade (koyaciṃ), gold, and Assamese silk (bhulāygā), accusing the recipient of arbitrary pricing, demanding a proper reconciliation of outstanding accounts, and recalling his standing offer to return all unsold goods. |
