| Abstract: |
During the reign of King Ṛddhinarasiṃha Malla, the roof of the temple was renovated. An inscription placed during the renovation mentions two dates: NS 816, i.e., 1696 CE, during the reign of Yoganarendra Malla and NS 829, i.e., 1709 CE, during the reign of Indra Malla. These two dates may have been mentioned here to preserve the earlier repairs carried out on these dates. A piece of the inscription with the name of the donor who repaired the roof is missing, and only 'Siṃ Mulmī Bhāro' is visible. It is likely that Śivaharisiṃha Mulmī, who installed a gilded window in the northern façade of the temple in 1688 CE (NS 808), also repaired the roof. During the renovation by the Department of Archaeology around 2001 CE (VS 2058), the pieces of the inscriptions engraved on the eaves board seem to have been joined carelessly. |
