Abstract: During the reign of King Mahendra Malla, Tuyū Āḥju and his three younger brothers Śākyabhikṣu Rūparāja, Śākyabhikṣu Maṇirāja, and Śākyabhikṣu Jakarāja established a Caitya by performing a fire oblation throughout the night. The Caitya mentioned in the inscription is the Aśoka Caitya at the center of the courtyard.
