Content

Abstract: This volume records various letters, telegrams, memos, etc., concerning the royal visit of King George V to Nepal for a shooting trip from December 18 to December 28, 1911. He was invited by Prime Minister Candra Śamśera Jaṅga Bahādura Rāṇā. This document mostly contains correspondences between Candra Śamśera and the British Resident in Nepal Colonel John Manners Smith. Matters such as transport arrangements, issues concerning tents and furniture, water supply for the camps, and lighting and heating for the camps are discussed and documented. This volume also contains correspondence concerning the visit of King Edward (as Prince of Wales), Prince Albert Victor, and Lord Curzon to Nepal for shooting.
