| Abstract: |
Present version of the Ain was prepared at the initiative of Prime Minister Bīra Śamśera Jaṅga Bahādura Rāṇā and enacted by Pṛthvī Vīra Vikrama Śāha on 1888 (VS 1945). In its preamble, the present Ain mentions that since the previous Ain was very clumsy, and repetitive in many places(in the same case 2-3 acts could be applied) therefore,to remove such inconsistencies the present version was introduced. This Ain is divided into five sections with each section being subdivided into various chapters. On the inner title page, there is a red seal of the King and in the following pages there are seals of Prime Minister Bīra Śamśera, Commander-in-Chief Deva Śamśera, the commanding generals and other high officials. Bīra Śamśera's seals are at the beginning and end of each paragraph. This volume was printed in the Vīra Deva Prakāśa Yantrālaya in VS 1945.
