| Abstract: |
The Nāradamuniviracitā Gajaśikṣā together with the Vyakti commentary of Umāpatyācārya is a text on the topic of training and catching elephants. The work is divided into nine paṭalas.
This manuscript was prepared by pandit V. Vijayaraghavacharya on 20th March 1939 (page 199 of the present volume). The bound book contains seals of the library of the Mahārājā (most probably the seal of Juddha Śaṃśera's library) in two places, one on the inner cover page and the other on its title page. Pages 7, 8 and 200-276 are blank.
The text in this manuscript is similar to the text published by Sri Venkateswara University in 1975. The only difference is that in our manuscript, the commentary comes after a group of ślokas on a topic, whereas, in the published book, the whole commentary is placed together at the end.
