Abstract: Of the inscription, only the fragment “Indrapatiyāta” (“for Indrapati”) survives. It is likely that the images of Śāriputra and Maudgalyāyana installed on either side of the entrance to the sanctum were dedicated in memory of the deceased Indrapati. The date and the donor’s name in the inscription have been effaced.
