This document is one of a series of 13 documents (E_2738_0002~E_2738_0014) bundled together in the private collection of J.C. Regmi. It itself does not mention the year, but other documents in the bundle (E_2738_0011, E_2738_0012 E_2738_0013 and E_2738_0014) are dated as [VS] 1865 (CE 1809). The present document is therefore likely to be from the same year.
Rajā Khā̃ held the post of mīra munsī (“head of munsīs”) most probably as the executive head of the munsīs in the Nepalese court. He is so far the earliest known mīra munsī in the Shah period, based on the documentary evidences. Another well known mīra munsī was Lakṣmīdāsa Pradhāna who served as the executive chief of the Munsīkhānā for a major part of the 19th-century.
