A reminder requesting that Jogabāhādura be brought in for questioning was also dispatched on Friday, the 23rd of Māgha.
No. 3 1
A Purjī from the Guṭhī Bandobasta [Aḍḍā] of Śrī 5 Sarkāra to the BhādagāūChoṭī Jaṅgī Koṭavālī.
Uprānta. In Bhādagāū, a statue of the venerable (Śrī)Tripurasundarī was earlier stolen and the Government had a replica [of it] made and installed. The restored statue of the goddess has also been stolen, concerning which matter a 1-chāpe2 was issued. Accordingly, an investigation needs to be made targeting the temple priests (pūjāhārī), which is what we are writing to your (lit. that) office about. Therefore, it will be nice if, upon reception of this letter, the temple priests Jogabāhādura Karmācārye, a resident of Tulāche Ṭola, and Durgācarṇa Karmācārye (text: Karmācārje), a resident of the Vidyāpīṭha in the same area, are immediately taken and brought to our (lit. this) office in accordance with the usual practice as regulated in the Ain and savālas. There should be no delay, given the necessity [to act occasioned] by the 1-chāpe. Accomplish [the task] so that [further] reminders are not necessary.
Friday, the 16th of Māgha in the [Vikrama] era year 1977 (1921 CE). Auspiciousness.
