This is a sales deed executed by Kāsinātha Cāpāgāi, a resident of Dhuni Byāsi and a Subedāra of the Mahīndradala Palṭana1 . He sells his 24-year-old slave Kāle to MahantaKulamāna Giri, a resident of Sāgācoka Village for 150 mohararupaiyā̃s. An earnest payment (gaurāi) of 1 mohararupaiyā̃ is included in the amount. The document lists three witnesses in the left margin, namely Dhanavira Buḍhā Chetrī, Dala Bahādura Khatrī Chetrī and Karnavira Khatrī Chetrī. Karnavira also scribed the document. The document is dated Wednesday, the 8th day of the dark fortnight of Bhādra of the [Vikrama] era year 1952 (1895 CE).
