Abstract
This note from Gorkha Palace to the Guṭhī Bandobasta Aḍḍā under Śrī 5 Sarkāra announces the dispatch of a certified copy of a copperplate and explains why it was sent.

Written (lekheko) from Gorkha Palace to the Guṭhī Bandobasta Aḍḍā under [Śrī 5 Sarkāra]2 .
Uprānta: Earlier, when a note (lekhauṭ) was sent by our (lit. "this") office [in response to the request]: "Details (phā̃ṭ) being needed regarding the expenses of [Śrī 5 Sarkāra]3 [at] Gorkha, make a copy of the copperplate and send it," all [other] things were written and sent, [but concerning the copperplate the following was written]: "The inscription is inside the treasury (ḍhukuṭi); [and] this treasury is not to be opened except during the Baḍā [Dasaĩ] and Caite Dasaĩ, not before or after." And inasmuch as this year's Caite Dasaĩ came and the treasury had to be opened, [the text] was written down and sent. The [request] stating: "After making a copy of this copperplate, certify that the copy is true to the original," which was written by your (lit. "that") office on Sunday, the 8th solar day (gate) of the [Vikrama era] year [19]60, arrived on Wednesday, the 11th solar day. A note with this detail (i.e. the certification of the copy) was not sent by our office [in the earlier dispatch]. Now, however, this same copperplate has [again] been copied and it has been certified that the copy is true to the original, [and it] is included herewith and being sent. It ought to be received [by you].
Sunday, the 15th solar day of Caitra in the Vikrama era year 1960 (1903 CE). Auspiciousness.
Commentary
This note accompanies the copy of a copperplate made in VS 1856 by King Gīrvāṇayuddha (K_0120_0020) memorializing his mother's endowment of a guṭhī to finance the Dasaĩ rituals at the palace at Gorkha, and explains why and when the copy was made. For more, see K_0120_0020.
