⟪1रुजुदुरुस्त•In reply to a petition made by MahantaHīrānātha and channelled through Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief Vīra Śamśera Jaṅga Rāṇā Bahādura and Commander-in-Chief General Deva Śamśera Jaṅga Rāṇā Bahādura, King Pṛthvī Vīra Vikrama confirms the addressee as successor of the late Mahanta Gosāī̃Khīmānātha on the throne (gaddī) of SiddhaBhagavantanātha's monastery (maṭha) in Rānāgāũ, Salyan. Like his predecessors (see e.g. K_0468_0062 and K_0469_0001) Hīrānātha is granted the right to collect money from the land registered in his name and is ordered to work dutifully, to observe the customary rituals and feasts, and to celebrate the king's victories.
The original document was issued on Saturday, the 8th of the dark fortnight of Māgha of the [Vikrama] era year 1944 (1888 CE). When the present copy was prepared is not known.
The copy is attested as "true to the copy" (?) 1 by Bhaṇḍārī Gudarīya (?) Dayānātha Jogī from Rānāgāũ and contains a number of rare graphic variants (such as āgye for āge). It seems that names are written on the backside of the document (see the upper part of the facsimile). Unfortunately, only a photograph of the front side is available. For a translation of the document and further details (such as the signees' names), see K_0469_0024. For another copy, see K_0469_0037.
