Abstract

This stone inscription commemorates the preparing of a banner painting, the creation of a Gaṇeśa idol, and the establishment of the Pūrṇimā Sevā Guṭhī by a group of six persons lead by Cintāmani Vajrācārya. The inscription is located on the pedestal of the Gaṇeśa idol at Vaṃ Bāhāḥ.

Synopsis

Hail! The group consisting of venerable Cintāmani Vajrācārya, Dharama Siṃha Bhābo1 , Sukhuri Bhāvo, Virāma Bhāvo2 , Desiṅa Bhāvo, and Amināma Bhāvo3 prepared a banner painting, created a Gaṇeśa [idol] and established the Pūrṇimā sevā [Guṭhī] (to observe rituals on full moon days) in NS 803 (1683). Auspiciousness.


Commentary

This inscription, located on the pedestal of the Gaṇeśa idol at Vaṃ Bāhāḥ, records the preparing of a banner painting (biraṃpati), establishing of the Gaṅeśa idol and a guṭhī to observe rituals on full moon days.
