Synopsis
Hail. Under the leadership of the venerable Amittajoti, a group of individuals, including his wife Dejāni, his brother Dinajoti, and his brother’s wife Māti, undertook the task of paving Vaṃ Bāhāḥ with oiled bricks. This was concluded on Saturday,
the 14th lunar day of the dark fortnight of the month of Māgha in NS 848, during following celestial alignment:
the constellation Dhaniṣṭhā and the conjunction Śiva, at the appropriate Karaṇa moment, with the sun in Pisces and the moon in Aquarius. It is prohibited to take these bricks, which belong to the bāhāḥ, for
paving private ground floor (cheli).
Anyone who disregards the instruction or causes harm [to the bāhāḥ]
will incur evil gaze (kudṛṣṭi) of the deity and be
inflicted by the five great sins, including killing a brahmin,
a child, a woman, one's ancestor, or
a cow. Whoever acts in favor [of the bāhāḥ], may achieve mahādharma
(and) will profit. … should offer food … …. done so … …1
