Coronation: NS 793 (1673 CE), following the death of his father King Jagatprakāśa Malla on the 4th of the dark fortnight of Mārgaśīrṣa (Rājavaṃśī VS 2020: 5)
r. NS 793–816; abdicated for his son Bhūpatīndra Malla, probably on the 11th of the dark fortnight of Bhādra in NS 816, as a sukī coin issued in Bhūpatīndra’s name bears this date (Jośī VS 2042: 84).
d. Sunday, the 13th of the bright fortnight of Mārgaśīrṣa in NS 829 (1709 CE) (Vajrācārya VS 2023: 31).
Attitude: A peace-loving king who would confront challenges when they arose but did not seek conflict.
Notable Works: Construction of the śikhara-style Vatsalā Temple, Thaṃthu Palace, rājakulo, Lũ Hiti (Golden Spout), and installation of the aṣṭamātṛkā statues in Kumārī Coka etc. (Pauḍela VS 2065: 51-63).
