Notesalso Chaubisi Rajya; lit. the "twenty-four principalities"; group of allied petty kingdoms in the Gandaki basin, lists differ (for a comparison, see Stiller 1973: 68–69), but commonly include the following names (in alphabetical order): Argha, Bhirkot, Butwal, Dhor, Dhurkot/Dhurikot, Galkot, Ghiring, Garahun, Gulmi, Isma, Kaski, Khanchi, Lamjung, Musikot, Nuwakot, Paiyun, Pyuthan, Palpa, Parbat, Rishing, Satahun, and Tanahun; one list has Gorkha, but according to Pradhan it was "never included in the list of the Chaubasi (sic!) rajyas possibly because the lines of affiliation, had been formalised before the rajya was brought under the rule of Hindu Dynasty."
