[F. A.] var. musalmān; n. 1) follower of the religion started by Muhammada Sāhaba. According to the Mulukī Ain's caste hierarchy the Muslims falls under the Water-unacceptable but Touchable castes, such as, Hindu Dhobī, Kulu, Kasāī, Mleccha etc. (MA-54.160.17).
