Abstract: As mentioned in the copper plate inscription, two Newāri devadāsi kamārīs named Naku and Guṇavatī as slave girls are dedicated to the service of Lord Paśupatināth by Bālakṛṣṇa Upādhyā living in Bhirkoṭa. No forced labour can be imposed upon the devadāsi by the Bhaṭṭa priests.
