Śrī Umāmaheśvara – 1
Śrī 5 Sarkāra – 2
Written by Kamalākānta Upādhyāye, a resident of Svatha Ṭola in Patan.
Āge: Today I was told by this office (i.e. Patan Potā Tahasīla), regarding the case involving my claim of an emolument for worshipping the deity -1- (i.e. the glorious Umāmaheśvara), either to submit any remaining supporting evidence, if there is any, or to write a statement to the other effect, and [this] has moved me [to do so]. I [previously] submitted whatever evidence I could gather with respect to the case, and there is no more evidence to submit. I give my consent to have the case decided in accordance with the ain on the basis of the submitted evidence. I will not later file an appeal refusing to accept the decision of the case because remaining evidence that needed to be received was not received; [because] remaining evidence was left [unconsidered]. I have submitted this [statement] to -2- (i.e. Śrī 5 Sarkāra) through the Patan Potā Tahasīla.
Wednesday, the 16th of the Śrāvaṇa in the [Vikrama] era year 1964 (1907 CE). Signature of Kamalākāṃta Upādhyāya, [resident of] Sotha.
This document was written by the same person who wrote K_0355_0060 and involves the same matter. There are a number of Umāmaheśvara temples in Patan. The previous document describes the temple as a ḍhuṅgā devala (i.e. a temple made of stone) located near the Patan Palace. Therefore, it is obvious that the temple mentioned in the document is the one which is identified as LAL1190 in DANAM (see https://nhdp-test.kjc.uni-heidelberg.de/report/34d6f310-e5e3-11e9-8bc4-0242ac130002).
