Captain Śamśera Bahādura Pā̃ḍe that part of the land granted him as an emolument for

May venerable Durgā help [us].
Hail. [This is] a rukkā of the venerable supreme king of
great kings.1
To Captain (kaptāna) Śamśera Bahādura
Pā̃ḍe (text: Samsera Bahādūra Pā̃ḍe): We
learned, when you made a request in our presence [in that regard], that the kheta and khuvā land which fell under
the emoluments for your captaincy has been reduced due to the fact that it has been
taken by someone else on lease. Therefore, make a stamped [copy] of the lease
(ṭhekakā mohara hānī) [on the land] among the emoluments for
your captaincy which has been taken on lease by somebody else and [with such
documentation] make arrangements to have [your present] land [borders] expanded where
they are expandable, and make use of [that land instead].
Saturday, the 9th of the dark fortnight of Phālguṇa in the [Vikrama] year 1898 (1842
CE). Auspiciousness.
