Abstract
In this rukkā, the king, who according to the date must have been Rājendra, appoints
Brahmanātha to perform the regular and occasional worship of Śrī Ratannātha at
Phalabang.

Śrī Ratannātha -1-
Hail. [This is] an executive order of the supreme king of great kings.
Āge: to Brahmanātha
We [hereby] issue a lālamohara stating: "[We] have annulled
the mohara [regarding] the guṭhī of
[Śrī Ratannātha]1 of
Phalabang (text: Phalābāṅ) [that was
issued] in the name of Pratāpanātha;2 from today on [you shall]
perform the previous regular and occasional worship according to the rules of [Śrī
Ratannātha]3 ." Take,
conscious of your duty, the customary fees that have been enjoyed [and] controlled
from earlier times onwards, manage the regular and occasional worship of [Śrī
Ratannātha]4 , celebrate our
triumphs, [and] enjoy what remains [after covering worship expenditures].
Wednesday, the 4th of the dark fortnight of Caitra, in the [Vikrama] era year 1891
(1835 CE).5 Auspiciousness.
Commentary
According to Nārāyaṇanātha's
Rājaguruyogīvaṃśāvalī (Naraharinātha
n.d.: 69) Brahmanātha was a disciple of the former
pūjārī Pratāpanātha. Like his guru before him (cf.
K_0014_0009A; Naraharinātha VS 2022: 494), he faced some
problems with foreign yogīs (pardesī jogī) but was reappointed as
pūjārī in VS 1898 (see K_0008_0032A and K_0636_0010). According
to the NGMPP catalogue card, the microfilm image of the present document is of a
photo-copy (of the original). For a handwritten copy, see K_0013_0048A.
