No. 1112
[unknown seal]
On ...3 , the 11th of the dark fortnight of Mārga in the [Vikrama] era year 1862 (1805 CE).
Āge: To Rāmānanda Bāḍā, a resident of Mahābudha, Oku Bāhāla Ṭola, Patan
Regarding the guṭha established by your ancestor Jīvarāja Bāḍā when he offered a golden vimāna to the chariot of Matsyendranātha: when an enquiry was made [among] the 24 thousand [households/people] of Patan, it was determined that the Luthāma Guṭha was [indeed] established by your ancestor Jīvarāja Bāḍā. Therefore, [overseership of] the guṭha was restored to you.4 Today we restrore to you, further, the guṭha [lands] listed [below]. [Continue] doing the work on the vimāna, repairing and restoring it as it as was done by [your] ancestors. Do not reduce your services, be mindful of your duty and enjoy [the surplus of the guṭha].

Sunday, the 11th of the dark fortnight of Mārga[śīra] in the [Vikrama] era year 1862 (1805 CE).7 . Auspiciousness.
This document is a copy of an executive order issued, seemingly by King Gīrvāṇayuddha Vikrama Śāha, to Rāmānanda Bā̃ḍā. The document is archived at the Guṭhī Saṃsthāna, Bhadrakālī, and has one seal each at the top and bottom margins. One Narsīṃha stood witness to it.
The document grants Rāmānanda the right to again exercise overseership of the Luthāma Guṭha and its land endowments, which amount to 56 ropanīs 3 javās. A similar royal order had been issued to him two years prior, in VS 1860 (document E_2253_0015C). The current document does not provide any clue why the overseership had to be revalidated two years later. The answer may lie in document K_0014_0014C, an order issued in VS 1884 by King Rājendra Vikrama Śāha, which mentions that the overseership of the guṭha was reinstated to Rāmānanda in VS 1862 after it had been taken from him for failing to pay the potā tax.
The Luthāma Guṭha seems to have lost a considerable amount of endowed land between VS 1860 and VS 1862. In comparison to E_2253_0015C, the current document does not mention plots in Silāpāko and Tadaha totalling 12 ropanīs 1 javā. The reason for this loss it unknown.
Another clearer microfilm of this document is available in NGMPP as document K_0029_0048B.
