With the system of amānata instituted, the guṭhīs managed by different governmental associations became rājaguṭhīs. The Guṭhī Saṃsthāna Ain of VS 2021 defines it as a guṭhī belonging to or managed by the government. After VS 2033, all the guṭhīs under the jurisdiction of the Guṭhī Saṃsthāna became known as rājaguṭhīs (cf. Tandan 1995: 34-35). t.t.
