| Notes | third successor of Bhagavantanātha on the monastical throne (gaddī) in Śrīgāũ; confirmed as successor of his guru Rūpanātha by King Rājendra in 1832 (VS 1889 Āṣādha kṛṣṇa 5; K_0469_0003 and K_0469_0036). according to the Yogivaṃśāvalī, he added further buildings to the site in Śrīgāũ in 1842 (VS 1899, Naraharinātha n.d.: 88, see also Naraharinātha VS 2022: 414; Bouillier 1991: 161f.), and, after completing the construction works, he left Kharkākoṭa (=Śrīgāũ) for Rānagāũ "where he established the custom to make the Dasai puja for Devi, Bhairav and Navadurga with the royal paraphernalia of the Kirtipur Raja" (Bouillier 1991: 162 [with reference to Naraharinātha n.d.: 88]). Succeeded on the throne by his disciple Jagadīśvaranātha in 1848. |
